Weddings

Loads of wedding dates have been popping up. I was just recently back for ex-colleague's Alan's wedding, and the weekend before that, another friend got married (with my company's ex-designer! haha!) but I was too knackered from Langkawi to attend.

Next month (over the National Day weekend), I will be back for Mel Joon (Aussie uni friend)' traditional Chinese wedding banquet. In September, it'll be Addy's ROM, (a day after G's birthday! :D ), then in December, Hoon's also walking down the aisle.

2007 notchet end, I already know some dates for 2008! My two sisters picked their dates and are making their plans now! Younger sis's penned down for June 22 and Older Sis has just recently locked in 13 December as well.

Seems that everyone's all super busy planning weddings, saving money for house, planning honeymoons, invite lists, cakes, flowers, reception food etc. Everyone seems super stressed too! Ah! I'm a bit horrified by the amount of work that has to go into it. I have often joked, I will just watch and learn from all these weddings I have attended or will be attending, and choose to do the easiest fuss free option! Lynn also warned me by the time it's my turn, my invites will have to extend to all these +1s, or even +2s (for those who move along quickly in starting a family...) Aaaahhhh, la la la la laaaaaaaaaa (*covers ears and shakes head violently*)

Any more of you getting married? These two years seem to be super auspicious or something. Either that, or we are all at that age. Yikes!

Langkawi, Wyclef, Foo Fighters and Mortons steak!

Been on the road for the past two weeks and lo & behold - we are well into the second half of the year! Great! Before we know it, it'll be Xmas! :)

Excuse the lack of blogging over the past two weeks; I was away in Langkawi for a week for our marketing meeting and boy was that super tiring! We survived on 4 hours sleep nightly, and spent our waking moments running around the huge ass resort, and ending our nights with some vodka in order to feel better! I had to babysit artistes somemore and missed most of the conference but I guess I will watch it on tape since it was recorded. At least I worked with Wyclef who was awesome coz he was so cool and laid back! His new album is brilliant! Loads of great songs and coming from me, you know it's great since I'm not into that genre generally.

After Langkawi, I was back in Singapore coz we had Dave Grohl & Nate Mendel from Foo Fighters in Singapore to do some pre-release album promotion and play their new album for media at the chic Fashion Bar in Clarke Quay. On their last night in SG, we all went out for dinner at Mortons and I had the best (and most expensive) steak ever! Brilliant stuff - but I couldn't finish it. The cow died in vain ahhhhhh. Bloody fantastic $86 piece of cajun rib eye.

I will put some pics I have in my phone into the comp tonight and upload some.

In the meantime, this is our group photo with the band in Mortons!

(G says Dave Grohl looks a bit like Jesus Christ! :O Hahaha!)

Xtina & moi

She looks like a wax figure. Looks a bit fake eh? She's actually not very tall - but of course she was on super high heels plus her hat adds height!! She looked super bronzed, even at her cleavage there! I look so sallow next to her. I think I also need red lipstick haha!
See my heart-shaped pendant! :)

Ain't no other concert!

Saw the Christina Aguilera concert on Tuesday and she is FANTABULOUS!!

I'm glad I managed to catch her concert coz I doubt she'll ever swing back to Asia, well at least not anytime soon!

That woman can sing! Her dancers and band were very entertaining too. At one point I was busy watching them, instead of watching her. Some of us from the office went backstage and took a picture with her. I shall post that once I get it. She had a lot of foundation/bronzer on, even on her cleavage I think. I tried my best not to stare at her massively pushed up boobs when I stood next to her for the picture.

Today, I went back to the office and started playing her 'Stripped' CD. I reckon that's her best album. Don't quite like the new one as much though I love the song 'Candyman'. The lyrics crack me up.

Next concert - Avril Lavigne. 'He was a Sk8Er Boi, she said see ya later boy'

Somehow I don't think both concerts are gonna be the same............

July!

Meant to blog yesterday but got too caught up watching teevee and cooking myself some yummy nutritious soup.

Half a year has gone by! Usually I feel the first half of the year goes by the slowest, so hopefully the remaining half of this year will fly and then it will be Christmas! And then it will be 2008!

Today is a public holiday here in HK - coz yesterday was HK SAR day. It's a bit like National Day but way more cheena and extravagant. There was a massive fireworks show over Victoria Harbour and I mean, MASSIVE. I could see some of the fireworks from my apartment and I live about one district away from the heart of it all. It went on for over 30 minutes and it was a bit boring after a while. Tried watching the show but everything in canto I also no understand but it's basically like one big CNY meets NDP show, but more cheena hehe.

In other news, I got my new K810i and it's great! I also realised my old phone is W810i and now I have K810i! Wahahaha super lame I know. Can't wait to take pics of G & Logie! Hee!

Watching 'Concert for Diana' now and can I just say again - I HATE FERGIE! Lame lame lame. Lily Allen is so quirky and cute but she has fat legs. I think Prince Harry is cuter than Prince William.

In other news, it seems that I may be back for one week in SG coz I have an artiste coming to town on 17 - 19 July!
