Saturday & Sunday
I've been told that I have covered all the decent clubs in Lan Kwai Fong already. Yay, go me! There's a new club called Sugar which is touted to be the next up & coming club which we will check out hopefully soon.
Was so thrilled to get a weekend! Went to eat 'fishball' rice noodles for lunch and passed by the pet stores on the way to the regular restaurant. The puppies were so adorable and there were so many mini schnauzers, even white ones! One black pup, which looked like my darling Logan when he was a young puppy when he first came to us... looked at me square in the eye, started yelping as though it recognized me and leaping up and down in his little glass cage! I could hardly bear to tear myself away from the pet store!!!! Perhaps I should get a pet....
Anyway after a typical Saturday for me (i.e. Ikea, Price Rite - had no more free hands if not I'd have gone supermarket shopping as well), I met up with Cardin & her bf and her high sch friends for dinner. It was strange coz it's like a group fo 8 of them and her bf & I were obvious outsiders coz we don't speak nor understand Cantonese. We went to a Teochew restaurant near my place and thankfully the food was good. Only cost us HK$110 each and there were like 10 dishes! Was busy stuffing my face to concern myself with the conversation..
After dinner, we proceeded to Lan Kwai Fong (Yes I realise I keep going there, it's like me and Zouk lah. Apparently there are other places to go for drinks and clubbing and those are really localized and if you dun know exactly where to go, some of the joints can be damn seedy) where we met Eric from Universal to go into Drop. It's a really nice place, sort of like Velvet Underground but smaller. The music was good too! We were subsequently joined by Ivan from Universal as well as 3 of his friends. The friends left about 1.30am and Cardin & bf wanted to leave at about 3am. I wasn't that tired so Eric suggested we check out the 'last remaining hip club' which I haven't been to which was called 'Hei Hei' (What a dumb name if u ask me!). Ivan, Eric and I headed towards the direction and when we got to the junction, Ivan decided that he was too tired to go! So Eric brought me to Hei Hei and the dude is good, he knows the necessary people to jump queues and apparently according to him, clubs favour people such as us in the 'media' industry. In fact he introduced the manager of Drop to me and she's arranging a membership for me. (But not like I have any one to go with normally heh) So the two of us hung out at the chillout area of Hei Hei (the club was MAD, jam packed like sardines, way worse than Drop and Drop was pretty packed) which was nice, with cushions where we could lean back, had a drink and chatted till about 4am before heading home. Am just happy to be out and making friends....hopefully next week, we can go party again! Oh hang on, crap I think my mom is coming to HK again with my older sis. Tsk!
Gotta work again tomorrow and damn my boss will be in town. Meaning I will be doing pointless meetings instead of real work. Sian. It's Sunday and I so need to get to the gym. Can totally feel myself getting fatter which is strange coz I walk more than before but I just don't understand!
Need to buy groceries as well as mop the floor and do some more laundry. Ah, the perks of living alone!
