Sunday 23 October

The crazy week is finally over! We did that regional marketing meeting which was kinda stupid and pointless and that truly magnified my boss's lack of leadership. Can 't quite do anything, seems to leave everything to me and Erica and then 'conveniently' just 'credits' us "Oh hope you liked the lunch, Janice & Erica chose the menu". She was supposed to plan this meeting but basically left everything to us. She had the cheek to come up to me later this evening and say "I don't know, I kinda have a tummy upset". WTF! I still very saccharine-sweetly said to her "OH I hope it wasn't the food we chose". Cow.

That was the first time that I was meeting some of the marketing directors from all around Asia and my boss didn't even introduce me at the start of the meeting. The marketing heads from NY was here for the meeting and i guess she was just too busy trying to impress them. It was supposed to be like an open discussion marketing meeting but guess who was hogging all the talking and none of the doing.

We went to dinner at one of the nicest restaurants called AQUA with a gorgeous view of HK island. It's at Tsim Sha Tsui, on One Peking Road which is also where the Universal HK/regional offices are ta. For about HK$800 a head, the food isn't even that great - I guess you really just pay for the view.

I have an ulcer on the top left hand corner of my mouth and it's huge ass and hurting.
Anyway after the maniac meeting,we were back in action in the office to prepare for the massive Il Divo promo tour. Sorting out invite cards, VIP guest list, unnecessary VVIP guest list, packing 500 press kits with roses & ribbons, helping out with regional media interviews - GO US! Guess who wasn't there to help ;)

It was all over after their showcase, a chaotic Meet & Greet last night and we all headed out to Dragon I to party and have free bubbly. But Dragon I was full of chao ang mohs so Erica & I tried to pop over to Sugar but for some bizarre reasons, only my name was on it (Erica was supposed to go in as Cardin) and no matter what Eric did, we couldn't get her in so she went off to meet her fren for supper and i went to sugar where i met a fellow singaporean gal who's quite nice and a japanese friend of Eric's who was based in SG before. After that, it was off to Tsui Wah for some comfort food in fishball noodles which is always great after too much bubbly.

It's finally turning cold... it's like airconditioning at 24degrees thereabouts last night when i was out and I can go to bed at night without having to turn on the aircon anymore.

I am gonna try to have a restful day but I need to buy groceries and hopefully start my gym routine this week. Tentatively agreed with Eric to go together on Tues so we can motivate each other but let's see how THAT goes. At least he is super on with his yoga and perhaps i can start on that too. Will prob take up tennis lessons starting next Jan - it's something I've always wanted to try.
