Hungry!
I am hungry! I am dying for a plate of Hokkien Mee with succulent prawns! That was one dish I really wanted but didn't manage to get last weekend! I did, however, manage to slurp down a bowl of the super happening Bak Chor Mee at Bedok, along with mediocre oyster omelette (I just needed to taste it I guess), not-too-bad BBQ stingray. G & I also managed to have Katong Laksa - we usually struggle with parking and G gets quite nasty-tempered when navigating out of the super bad traffic area of Katong. When we found a great parking lot in the end (blessings!), I had to get my fill and had the $4 portion along with otak. Yumms.
Lunch is coming up and I don't know what to eat! There is a good food court in the mall near my office which we only recently discovered. Previously we always had lunch with the very 'local' colleagues, and eat Chinese food all the time, which are sometimes good, other times, VERY BORING. This food court I suspect is opened by Singaporeans (Food Republic is Singaporean yes?) and has the Express Teppanyaki counter, a mini steamboat counter - less than S$20 for your own pot and own 'liao'! There is also a pretty good and totally passable Hainanese Chicken Rice and a kinda okay Fish Soup Noodles.
BUT NO HOKKIEN MEE OR CHAR KUAY TEOW!!!!
Boohoo!
