Byebye 2007 - hello 2008!

2008 is a year I have been waiting for and now that it's finally here, I can hardly contain my excitement! I should be heading back for good to SG (bye bye cantoland!) in the middle of the year, and I believe that news alone should make G a very happy boy despite his current struggles with work right now! Hang in there baby! And if astrology is your thing and you are also a Capricorn like me, according to a astrology website, 2008 will be one of the best years a Capricorn will ever have! While I do generally believe such things with a generous pinch of salt (i.e. only believe in the good stuff, dismiss the bad stuff), this is one piece of news that I hope and hope and HOPE will be absolutely true!

I also turned 28 on 1 January and thank you to my lovely friends who remembered and SMSed me your well wishes. If you had to know, I was actually a bit sick on the morning of my birthday but managed to recover by afternoon with the help of Po Chai pills and G's attentiveness ;) As with every year, we had a family dinner with my folks at the almost-like-Malaysia-CCK-Farmart place since 1 Jan is also my parents' wedding anniversary.

Here are some pics that were taken when I was back the past two weeks! I'm sorry if I didn't manage to catch up with you when I was back but since I will be back for good very soon, we will have more time to hang!
The gals on Hoon's wedding day at Andrew's house.
The bride and moi. We were trying to achieve the slim arms look. Hehehe!
Us taking spastic pictures at Vivocity after my birthday dinner with them.
G at Gyu Kaku at CHIJMES for my birthday dinner. This could be the reason why I was sick on my birthday but G was fine... ah well, could be just me having 5 straight days of good food!
Me at Gyu Kaku. G did most of the grilling that day since I was the birthday gal heh.
I didn't get a birthday cake at all this year but G and I shared this 6 scoops Haagen Daz ice cream and he got the staff to put a candle on top of the Belgian Choc scoop and they wrote Happy Birthday on the plate!
Officially older and nearing the big 3-0! May I be wiser, nicer, smarter, slimmer and a better person!
