Hiking and achy legs

The tap is fixed! No more leaking! The plumber came by yesterday evening and got it all fixed! The sound of the leaking was starting to really drive me crazy.

On Sunday, I met up with a few friends and took a ferry from Central to Mui Wo (on Lantau Island) where we were to embark on a supposed 2 1/2 hours hike. They keep saying the hike will be hard but it is such an understatement. We started at 1.15pm and finished almost at 5pm. We went uphill on steep steps that seem to go on forever (almost 3 hours, but we stopped for snacks, water and pictures) and the top was HK's 2nd highest peak at 934m! (The highest is 956m apparently but you can be rest assured yours truly here will PROBABLY never attempt that). My legs are hurting quite bad STILL coz even going downhill was difficult. My thigh muscles protested, I literally had to use my hands to move my legs along - they weren't listening to my brain's instructions to 'we have to move, there is no escalator or helicopter to save us) Look, it was all very pretty and fresh air was definitely good for us but seriously there has GOT to be easier hikes! On our way downhill, we met this sprightly old man and we asked him about his hike. He started at 10am from the MTR station (which is super duper far!) and it was 4pm when we met him, and he was going strong. Oh, and he was 71. We felt so ashamed of ourselves for taking a break (we were going downhill somemore lor!) then we stood up and continued on our way.
Here are some pics. There are more taken on another camera which I will add when I get them, those are nicer.
Me at the peak - check out the clouds behind me. That's how high up we were.

Haha yes the jeans was a bad idea. I do have a pair that is super stretchy that would have worked for hiking - not this pair unfortunately. Ah well.

OMG! I would have collapsed in a fetal position halfway (nay, quarter way) through and sobbed till the rescue team came and got me.
