TGI Weekend!

My house is falling into pieces! Argh! My bathtub tap is leaking and instead of letting me fix it asap, my stupid landlord wants to come and take a look to assess how bad it is! WTF. I have nothing better else to do with my time than to change taps for fun ah? I have to wait for her to come by at 2.30pm to see for herself. Stupid tap leak is so bad, it fills up a pail in less than 1 hour.

I came back from Beijing last night and even though HK was a relatively cool 16 degrees, it feels 'warm' compared to -8 degrees celcius! As a kid, I used to stick my head in the freezer to get some cold air after playing around - well if you have done that before, you would know how cold the freezer is and BJ is just like a freezer - but COLDER. We weren't out much, at the very most it was walking from the car to somewhere indoors, but in that 5-10 seconds of walking, it is enough to freeze your fingers and toes. Brrrr! And I had a scarf and gloves and thick socks too! It snowed quite a fair bit in Beijing on Thursday - the snow landing on my coat looks like bits of shaved ice hurhur and I managed to look closely at the shape of snow flakes before they melted away. It was way colder than when I was up in Mount Buller skiing a few years ago! We drove past a canal and it was frozen. Workmen were shovelling snow aside - it wasn't very thick, at most 1 - 2 cm but it was slippery!

In any case, the snow is just about the only thing I liked about Beijing. The hotel was crappy, everyone smelt bad - like Shayne says, our driver is using a new deodorant called 'BO' hurhur. The ang mohs thought it was a garlic thing but it was way worse than your average B.O. smell really. It's just.... bad...

My stupid broadband tv decoder box ain't working too so I have no TV to watch! I popped in a CD that I forgot that I had and cleaned up the house a bit as well. Going out for dinner with Yang's friend Serlin later tonight and if the plumber can come and fix the damn tap today, I can go hiking tomorrow with some friends at Lantau Island.

I WANT TO WATCH TV AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

:(

Think that's the case. That's what my mom told me anyways when we were staying in Beijing last time.

Odd though, I thought it'll be less smelly if the weather's cold. Imagine the smell in the summer then! Never really noticed the smell when I lived there though. Maybe I got used to it haha =P
